Musician Quest account types
Musician Quest has four account types, each with its own dashboard and its own job to do. (Staff accounts come in three flavors - Owner, Admin, and Manager.)
Owner, Admin, and Manager
Owners have full visibility and control across the studio. From the Owner Dashboard, you can:
Create, edit, duplicate, import, and export Quests
Assign Quests to teachers
View every user in the studio - admins, teachers, families, and students
Track every student's Quest progress studio-wide
Admin and Manager accounts exist for staff like office managers who need cross-studio visibility without full Owner permissions - Admin carries more responsibility than Manager. They're ideal for the person running your front desk - the one handing out Level rewards and answering family questions.
Teacher
Teachers see only what they need: their own roster and the Quests you've assigned to them. From the Teacher Dashboard, they can:
Add students to their roster
Assign students a Quest and begin teaching at the Level that fits each student
Start and complete skills during lessons
Record performance videos directly in the app
Fill in skill text fields (song names, exercises, notes)
The entire teacher workflow is six steps, designed to be lighter than what most teachers already do manually.
Family/Student
Families don't manage anything - they just get to watch. A family account provides:
Automatic progress emails after lessons, covering skills started, skills completed, and Level milestones
The family portal: completed skills, performance videos, current progress, and what's ahead
Families receive a welcome email with a password setup link when their student is first assigned a Quest. From that point on, everything arrives without anyone at your studio lifting a finger.
