What is Musician Quest?
The model: Quests, Levels, and Skills — and what happens automatically when teachers mark progress.

Musician Quest makes student progress visible - to teachers, to families, and to you.
Every student in your studio follows a Quest: a structured path through their instrument. Teachers mark skills as started and completed during lessons, record short performance videos as proof of mastery, and the system automatically sends families a progress email showing exactly what their musician accomplished and what's coming next.
The core structure: Quests, Levels, and Skills

Everything in Musician Quest is built on three building blocks:
Quest - An instrument-specific curriculum. Guitar Quest, Piano Quest, Drum Quest, Violin Quest, Voice Quest. Each student is assigned the Quest for their instrument. Quests can also be shorter learning paths - Side Quests - where a particular musical style or focus can be a journey on its own.
Level - A chapter within a Quest. Our pre-built Quests contain 11 Levels each. Yours can be any length you wish. When a student completes a Level, they earn a reward at your front desk - a pin, certificate, wristband, or whatever fits your studio.
Skill - An individual, trackable accomplishment within a Level. Skills are what teachers start, complete, and capture on video during lessons. You choose how many skills each Level contains.
👉 So a student's journey looks like this:
Complete Skills → finish a Level → earn a reward → move to the next Level → progress through the Quest.
What happens automatically
As teachers start and complete skills, Musician Quest handles the rest - shortly after each lesson:
An enhanced progress email goes to the family - with completed skills explained, any student performance videos included, skills currently being worked on and a preview of what's next, all in one email.
The family portal updates, so parents can log in anytime to see completed skills and watch videos.
Your owner dashboard updates, so you can see progress across every student, teacher, and instrument in your studio.
What Musician Quest is not
Musician Quest tracks mastery, not minutes. There are no practice logs or timers. Progress is measured by what students can actually do - demonstrated in lessons and captured on video.
It also isn't a replacement for your teachers' expertise or your existing teaching philosophy. Teachers teach the way they teach; Musician Quest makes sure the progress they're already creating gets seen.
