Duplicating and Editing an Existing Quest
Copy any Quest in your account and modify the duplicate — for instrument variants, level-adjusted versions, or safe experimentation.

Any Quest in your account can be duplicated, and the copy is fully independent - edit it freely without touching the original.
How to duplicate
From the Quest tab on your Owner Dashboard, choose the duplicate option on the Quest you want to copy. The duplicate appears in your Quest list, ready to rename and edit in the Quest Editor.
When duplication is the right tool
Instrument variants. Duplicate your Guitar Quest to create a Bass Quest or Ukulele Quest - much of the structure carries over, and you only rewrite what differs.
Age- or level-adjusted versions. A "Piano Quest - Young Beginners" with smaller skills and faster early Levels, built from your main Piano Quest.
Safe experimentation. Want to restructure a Quest that students are already on? Duplicate it, rework the copy, and switch new students to the new version when it's ready - students on the original continue undisturbed.
Preserving templates. Before heavily customizing a ready-made Quest, duplicate it so the original stays in your account as a reference.
After duplicating
The duplicate starts as its own Quest - rename it, edit Levels and Skills in the Quest Editor, and set its state when ready. Remember that teachers only see Quests you assign to them, so a work-in-progress duplicate stays invisible to your staff until you choose otherwise.
Draft note: confirm what state a duplicate is created in (Draft?) and add screenshot of the duplicate action on the Quest tab.
